Meet the team

Kris learnt to ring at the age of 15 when he needed a skill for his Duke of Edinburgh, and nearly 25 years later, he is still bell ringing. His home tower is Burghill, where he is the Ringing Master.

For Kris, the best thing about bell ringing is providing opportunities for people to get involved in a hobby he loves and sharing his passion for it with them. He also enjoys spending time with his ringing friends at different churches, ringing new and exciting things and spending time with them in the pub.

Jason started ringing in 2000 at the age of 11 at the church where his grandparents lived in Staffordshire. He has continued to ring since then, including throughout university, where he led the ringing for the Bangor University Society and local tower.

Jason’s biggest achievement in his ringing career was ringing 12,000 changes in 2010, which took 6 hours and 15 minutes in total. Jason enjoys teaching bell-handling and watching the progress made by learners at all stages of ringing.

Ian’s home tower is Marden and has been ringing for 11 years. He enjoys visiting other towers and the welcome you get from total strangers.

He doesn’t have a favourite method but likes the fact that there is always a new one to learn.

The picture of Ian is from when he was on Dove Crag, with Fairefield in the back ground.

Ian’s other passions being hill walking and playing squash.

Caroline has been ringing for 15 years. Fownhope is her home tower, where she is the Ringing Master.

She enjoys challenging herself when ringing with friends. She also enjoys teaching bell-handling to someone new and finds it very rewarding.

Her favourite thing about ringing is the community of people she rings with.
